A Very Public Display. is a call to arms, an art action celebration ranging from multi-media installations, performances, short & experimental films, live concerts to sonic arts, fashion show, workshop in Butho Dance and a design market. With the theme PRIVATE & PUBLIC, the focus is to light up the site inside & out highlighting its beauty and innovating its visual impression. The cry is for greater development in the future of the area through the interaction of the real people living and working here and those outside who want to help make a difference. The long term aim of Skalizer Strasse 135 is to become a creative event and educational centre for all ages. This cannot be done alone, support, experience and enthusiam is essential. Berlin is depressed. Stuck in the never-ending mould to find the perfect concept, activity has been forgotten. No better example of that depression is Zentrum Kreuzberg. An urban terrain left to rot by the fallen visions of PRIVATE and PUBLIC ownership. No more waiting, time for changing. At least for a few days... |
